Bio.

Ego sum papa was formed 1999 in ballyfermot animation collage by Adam, Keith and Dermo. Rob joined next, he was a friend of Adams and they had played together in the past, as was Callery who joined after that. Finding a drummer was not so easy but a few weeks later we found Paul Duffy and the line up was complete.

After jamming for a few months we played our first gig in Fibbers, in feb 2000. It was a battle of the bands and we came in 2nd place. After giging for a while we recorded our first demo in Killculen recording studios in Kilkenny in june 2000. (Produced bu Ego sum papa and Dave Howard)

Back to giging and jamming for the next year and finaly got back into the studio in may 2001. This time in Dublin, in The Playhouse Recording Studio, run by Frank McGing and his most excellent band, Prescriptions. We recorded esoteric, a four track ep. (produced by ego sum papa and Frank McGing ).

We lost Paul soon after that, he moved to Galway to study. So we were back looking for a drummer again.

Paddy played drums for another Dublin band called Woodroe who we used to play with. When they split Paddy started jamming with us and soon enough we were back giging around the country. (Dublin, Mullingar, Cork, Port Laoish, Galway).

A year later and still not signed we started to slow down and Paddy left the band. We tried out three or four drummers but none fitted the part, we kept writing and searching until we found John Ryan in jan. 2004 and finaly got back to jamming.
